Lithium Ionic’s properties span 14,182 hectares in Minas Gerais state, Brazil, within an emerging hard rock lithium-producing district coined the “Lithium Valley”, which contains 100% of the country’s official lithium reserves.

Since Lithium Ionic launched in May 2022, its portfolio of properties has increased +10-fold, and the Company continues to assess and consolidate prospective lithium properties in this globally significant hard rock lithium-producing district.

Its tenements are grouped into two main groups of properties: The Itinga Properties and the Salinas Properties. In July 2023, projects developed within the Itinga and Salinas properties were granted priority status by the state of Minas Gerais regional government bodies, facilitating support and acceleration of approvals and licensing through the development process towards mine operation and production. The region is home to other notable lithium mines and projects, including the Companhia Brasileira de Lítio’s (CBL) Cachoeira mine, which has been producing lithium since 1993; Latin Resources’ Colina lithium deposit (PEA stage); and Sigma Lithium’s Grota do Cirilo project, which began production in April 2023.
