Lithium Ionic

Lithium Ionic’s properties span 14,182 hectares in Minas Gerais state, Brazil, within an emerging hard rock lithium-producing district coined the “Lithium Valley”, which contains 100% of the country’s official lithium reserves.

Since Lithium Ionic launched in May 2022, its portfolio of properties has increased +10-fold, and the Company continues to assess and consolidate prospective lithium properties in the region.

Global Mineral Resources of 60.1Mt (1,900kt LCE)

Three NI 43-101 compliant mineral resource estimates have been established to date (Bandeira, Salinas and Outro Lado ) for total consolidated mineral resources of 60.1Mt; one of the largest scale projects in the region.

Lithium Ionic’s tenements are grouped into two main groups of properties: The Itinga Properties and the Salinas Properties. In July 2023, projects developed within the Itinga and Salinas properties were granted priority status by the state of Minas Gerais regional government bodies, facilitating support and acceleration of approvals and licensing through the development process towards mine operation and production. The region is home to other notable lithium mines and projects, including the Companhia Brasileira de Lítio’s (CBL) Cachoeira mine, which has been producing lithium since 1993; Latin Resources’ Colina lithium deposit (PEA stage); and Sigma Lithium’s Grota do Cirilo project, which began production in April 2023.

Bandeira mineral resource estimate (April. 2023):
- M&I: 23.68Mt grading 1.34% Li2O (785kt LCE)
- Inferred: 18.25Mt grading 1.37% Li₂O (618kt LCE)
Outro Lado mineral resource estimate (June 2023):
- M&I: 2.97Mt grading 1.46% Li₂O (107,599t LCE)
- Inferred: 0.42Mt grading 1.48% Li₂O (15,168t LCE)
Environmental Impact Assessment underway
Environmental and Installation License (“LAC”, or Licença Ambiental Concomitante) application submitted in Nov. 2023; approval expected in Q3 2024.
